Architectural drafting is primarily about developing the technical drawings needed for a new build in order to get a building permit. You will need someone who has the training to create construction documents to ensure all specifications are met.
Each state and local jurisdiction individually regulate the requirements needed to obtain a building permit. There are a handful of conditions, that when met, will exempt a project from requiring stamped drawing from an architect. For instance, houses no more than 2 stories usually do not require an architectural stamp.
An architect is not required for a residential project. However, if your plan is for a major project, such as adding an addition, adding a second floor, or building an entirely new home, an architect can be your best friend.

No. We have more formal training/education in architectural drafting and design -the process of construction documents/blueprints/floor plans. Having the ability to do this in-house truly sets us apart from many interior design studios/companies. We have a background in the technical aspect of residential construction and the aesthetic that makes up interior design.
